There are many hazardous materials you may be surprised to see on the list below, but there are usually good reasons to have them included. Hazardous items are generally those considered explosive, flammable or corrosive. Here’s a list of common items that moving companies consider non-allowable:

Perishable items are something moving companies will no transport, even if it is going to be delivered right away.

Note: You should empty our refrigerators and freezers and keep appliance doors open for 24 hours in advance of loading. This will allow appliances to dry out and prevent the growth of mold.
